Teachers raise more than $18,000 at Gamblers’ Dash for Cash

Teachers stormed the ice to grab cash at Ashwaubenon’s Resch Center.

North Shore Bank once again sponsored the annual Dash for Cash at the Green Bay Gamblers hockey game on January 18. Area teachers raced for and scooped up $12,500 between periods, for a total of over $18,000 for their schools after ticket sales were factored in as well.

“It is always fun to see the teachers dash and even more fun to count the money and get to know them,” district manager Kerri Collins emailed participating employees after the event. “I am always amazed to hear of all the different ways the money will be used. This year I learned what a sensory chair was and the need for these in area schools. We also had a second-grade teacher share that she would be using the money to purchase computer programs for two of her students battling cancer at Children’s Hospital.”
