Branches share donations, meals with food pantries

Superheroes teller Loretta Heath, teller supervisor Tara Neuville, and branch manager Becky Kolstad swooped in with their donations for Feed and Clothe My People.

This month, our branches began donating to local food pantries and rewarding their volunteers as part of the bank’s ongoing Bank on Kindness initiative. Check out these photos from the donation deliveries!

The new normal: Pets remain cute

Domino either has COVID fatigue or is just tired of being used as a pillow by Stella.

At president and COO Jay McKenna’s house, cat Domino and pup Stella are doing their best to keep the family’s morale up.

Yoshi, ready to compute.

And Yoshi keeps VP branch sales manager Craig Witz company during work these days. “Not pictured is my other feline co-worker, Peach,” Craig says.

Send your stories and photos of social distancing and working from home under the “new normal” by email to shorelines@northshorebank.com or via text at 608-318-3348. We’ll run your submissions in an upcoming issue! •••

Pewaukee supports local families in need

Pewaukee personal banker Brett Brilowski, teller Megan Kubichek, teller supervisor Sonnee Tobias, and branch manager Anne Kagerah show off their new shirts at the branch.

Last week, Pewaukee branch employees wore “Pewaukee WI Think Local” T-shirts, purchased to support families in the area struggling financially. Positively Pewaukee partnered with the Pewaukee School District, the Pewaukee Food Pantry, and local churches for the T-shirt and sweatshirt sale. Families that receive support from the fundraiser will be provided with food, gas cards, and other needed items.

Customer assistance rep Marty Schissler is from Milwaukee and previously worked as regional admissions manager for the Intern Group. He says, “I spent the last three years living in Santiago, Chile. I studied abroad there to perfect my Spanish and ended up moving back to stay for a while. I got really into hiking while there and have been to a few of Chile’s national parks, including some in Patagonia.” •••

Northside pulls out all the stops to celebrate Straka

The fire department drive-by.

Northside went all out celebrating assistant branch manager Cathy Straka’s birthday this week. “Cathy has worked very hard and supported the branch through medical leaves, COVID, and construction, and always has a smile and positive outlook,” branch manager Lisa Brooks said. “I love her and wanted to give her a big surprise for her birthday.”

Lisa got the Racine Fire Department to do a drive-by with sirens blaring and lights flashing. She also got Cathy’s family to surprise her with a socially distanced birthday parade, and co-workers decorated Cathy’s workspace and cooked her a homemade lunch. “A great day for a great employee!” Lisa said. •••
