For many students, back-to-school time will not involve leaving the home this year. Parents and kids alike must now navigate our brave new world through online portals. It is a new experience for most of us, and it will likely be both nerve-racking and frustrating at times. But these unique challenges will also give rise to unique solutions and creativity.

Southridge area branch manager Carolyn Lyrenmann is offering to host a weekly discussion for employees to connect and discuss school-related challenges and solutions, and to provide peer support to one another as we begin life as part-time educators.

The meetings will be employee-led and include discussion of specific topics and resources, as well as an open forum period. They will take place via Zoom, on Thursday nights from 7 to 7:30 p.m., starting next Thursday, September 10.

Kenosha Festival Foods’ Reyes among Élan Elite

Kenosha Festival Foods assistant branch manager Karina Reyes has been recognized as one of Élan’s top credit card producers in the country, giving her the coveted status of Élan Elite for 2020.

As a result of this honor, she will receive $50 and be entered for the opportunity to win additional prizes at the end of the year. For example, for each new activated credit card account she books between August 1 and December 31, Karina will receive a sweepstakes entry for the chance to win between $250 and $1,000.

New Hires for September 3
It’s always exciting to add new members to our team. Here are some of the fresh faces at North Shore Bank.

Customer care representative Linda Cochran is from Brookfield and previously worked as an operations specialist with Wells Fargo Advisors. She loves spending time with her family, especially for weekend cookouts. “One hobby I need to do less of is online shopping!” she jokes.

Southwest teller Kierra Miller-Johnson is from Milwaukee and previously worked for two years as a customer service representative at Tri City National Bank. “I love doing makeup and spend time traveling with my family,” she says. “I also enjoy watching movies and eating good food while being what I call a couch potato. And nothing excites me more than being able to help others and to take care of the ones I love the most.” •••
