First Digital Ambassadors ready to help with tech
North Shore Bank’s first Digital Ambassadors completed their training in August. Nine branch employees received in-depth training in topics related to the bank’s digital services. The curriculum covered subjects like online/mobile banking and bill pay; third-party payment solutions like PayPal and Venmo; digital wallets like Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay; business digital tools; and debit card alerts.

“It was informative,” North End universal banker Shannon Quinn said of the program, which began last December. “I wasn’t aware we offered so many awesome electronic services to our personal and business customers.” Read more about what being a Digital Ambassador means!

Zoo Boo presale tickets now at branches

Fans of spooky fun, take note: Through this Saturday, September 19, our northeast Wisconsin branches are selling exclusive tickets to the North Shore Bank Zoo Boo at the NEW Zoo before official online sales begin.

As in years past, the annual Halloween-season event will feature treats, decorations, and activities like carousel rides, the Happy Haunted Maze, and a scavenger hunt.

To ensure enough room for comfortable social distancing because of COVID-19, capacity will be limited for each night of the Zoo Boo. In addition, this year’s Zoo Boo will not feature wagon rides through the Haunted Forest or any bounce houses, and Adventure Park will be closed.

The Zoo Boo will take place every Friday and Saturday from 3 to 8 p.m. in October starting October 9, including on Halloween. Tickets are $12 per person, and kids under 3 get in free. After the presale ends this Saturday, tickets will only be available through newzoo.org, starting Friday, September 25. •••

Celebrate your Hispanic heritage with stories, photos
National Hispanic Heritage Month has begun. The annual event, which runs September 15 to October 15, honors the cultures of Americans with ancestors from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America, and South America. This year’s theme is “Hispanics: Be Proud of Your Past, Embrace the Future.”

North Shore Bank employees of Hispanic heritage are invited to share stories about themselves or family members they’re proud of (including kids!). The bank is looking for qualified candidates to join the ranks of our Mortgage Loan Originators. This is a sales-focused role, and it is also helpful to have lending experience.

Mortgage Loan Originators are responsible for the origination of residential mortgage real estate loans for home purchase, new construction, or refinancing of existing mortgage loans; and developing prospect calls to generate business referrals. MLOs are expected to build and maintain relationships with builders, brokers, real estate agents, and developers. The job involves work outside of the branch office and hosting events as well.

Metro South District scores high on SOAR standards
In August, internal customers were invited to take the SOAR Together survey and rate their satisfaction with the level of service they received from Metro South District branches.* The district received 268 responses to the question “How easy was it to do business with the branch?” Ratings were on a scale of 1 to 7, where 1 meant “Not easy to work with” and 7 meant “Very easy to work with.” Lauri Lunde has more about how the district performed!

District manager Cristen Baumann received this email from a customer praising Germantown branch manager Erica Hughes. The customer writes:

It’s always exciting to add new members to our team. Here are some of the fresh faces at North Shore Bank.

Mortgage loan originator Robin Tegel is from Milwaukee but moved to Kenosha in 2018. (“My new husband expected me to live with him!” she jokes.) She previously worked at Marine Credit Union in subprime lending. “I love being in nature, and some years ago I was on a Mississippi River canoe trip with my family when one of our canoes was overturned by the currents created by the barges,” she says. “Super scary! We had to gather all the gear floating in the water and circle our other canoes around my mom, who was in the river until we could get her back to shore. We still love to canoe as a family, but now we stay in the backwaters.” •••
