Shorewood surprises customer, pup with gift bag full of goodies

Here’s this week’s update on our Bank on Kindness campaign to spread happiness and goodwill in our communities.

The Shorewood branch recently surprised longtime customer Connie and her furry pal Marley with a gift bag.

“We picked Connie for the Bank on Kindness campaign because she is someone who — every day, no matter what is going on — is just so positive and is thinking of others first,” branch manager Shannon Weber said. “We see it in her actions often, and we thought this would be a nice gesture to return the favor to her.”

The gift bag included treats and toys for Marley, as well as flowers, a candle, and a Metro Market gift card.

“Connie only adopts older dogs, which is so kind,” Shannon said. “They live across the street, so we see them every day outside walking.”

Connie was surprised by the gift and told Shannon and the Shorewood team that she was “truly blessed” by their generosity and kindness.

And of course, North Shore Bank’s food pantry donation-matching campaign continues through this week. Donations can be made online at give.mastercard.com/p/northshorebank, and will be matched by the bank, up to $500 per pantry. You can also get a link to donate by texting Kindness to 77948. Please feel free to share information about the donation drive via email, text, and social media, to help feed hungry Wisconsinites.
