Shorewood Feast delivers a day of music, fun, and food once again

The third annual North Shore Bank Shorewood Feast took place last Saturday, September 10. Each year, the daylong street festival wraps up with a family-style harvest dinner at a long table in the middle of the village’s Oakland Avenue.

“It was a perfect day, with great weather, and so many people came out to enjoy it,” Shorewood area branch manager AVP Shannon Weber said. Throughout the day, the bank offered places for festival-goers to sit and relax, as well as the chance to decorate kindness rocks and leave a message on our “Be Kind” wall.

“I loved how inviting it was for people to come right into the booth — and they did just that,” Shannon said. “Kids and adults told us how excited they were to put their rocks in places for others to find. I love that! It also gave us opportunities to talk to so many people in our community. And some of those conversations gave us a chance to explain how we could help them with their goals.”

Along with Shannon and reps from our partner NEWaukee, universal banker Micki Usama, teller Audrey Elliott, and senior financial accountant/analyst Kristin Monday helped out at the feast. Business relationship manager Cheri Cicona was also there to help North Shore Bank business customers with their credit card processing.

Put together by local chefs, the six-course meal that ended the festivities was delicious, Shannon said, but just one part of a wonderful day. “I really enjoyed having the opportunity to speak with so many different people from our community. I love how this event offers residents of Shorewood a day of fun, music, and really great food.”
