Corporate receptionist Nancy Hanson got to work last Thursday and discovered a pint-size helper starting to put lights on the office’s Christmas tree: Jimmy the elf. “He only did the top portion, though,” she said. “I was hoping he would finish the rest, but I had to do it myself!”
When Nancy got back from lunch later, he was on top of the tree. “And I left my desk once and came back to find him answering my phones,” she said. “He played a few other tricks too!”
Corporate is having a door-decorating contest this week, and Jimmy is part of the fun. (A little reindeer told us that SVP retail banking Sue Doyle might have helped him up the ladder.)
“The theme for our door is the North Pole, so he’s sitting on top of Santa’s sack to greet our visitors,” Nancy said. “For now, he’s behaving. Who knows if that will change!”
