North Shore Bank Receives Top Workplace Award
North Shore Bank was honored with a national Top Workplaces Award in the 2023 Financial Services Industry category! This award recognizes the bank as one of the best places to work in the category in the nation. While North Shore Bank is an 11-time Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Top Workplace Award winner, this is the first time the bank has been honored with this national, distinguished acknowledgement.
“We are immensely proud to have earned the national Top Workplaces Award for the first time,” said Molly Schissler, Senior VP and Chief Human Resources Officer. “This recognition is a testament to the dedication of our employees and the supportive environment that is cultivated at our community bank.”
The Top Workplace list showcases outstanding businesses and is driven by employee feedback through a third-party survey. Companies are measured on qualities such as company leadership, career opportunities, workplace flexibility, compensation, benefits, and the impact company policies have on innovation and morale. 00772
Southside Dining Week kicked off this week
Southside Dining Week kicked off this past weekend and goes until Saturday October 7th! This celebration of the incredible international cuisine in Milwaukee’s southside neighborhoods includes a signature dish from participating restaurants for $15 or less! Travel around the Southside to try all the participating restaurants and explore all the cultural offerings and delicious meals that Milwaukee has to offer.
Employees assisted with the Southside Showcase kickoff at Zócalo Food Park this past weekend, and the event was a huge success! Employees activated a tent at the Showcase, mingled with attendees, and coordinated a ticket giveaway on site.
There’s still time to get out there and enjoy some good eats. Don’t forget to snag your tickets to Hand Pie Fest, which closes out the celebration of great Milwaukee food on Saturday, October 7th.
A huge success at the 4th Annual Shorewood Feast
North Shore Bank had the biggest turn out yet for the 4th Annual North Shore Bank Shorewood Feast! Ticket sales sold out in just three hours for the Harvest Dinner, and attendees enjoyed the event all day long.
A big shout out to Shannon Webber, Erika Garcia, Micki Usama, Kristin Monday, Sara Speich, Shakara Bobo, and Mariah Elkins for volunteering their time to man the North Shore Bank tent throughout the day. The team offered a variety of activities for attendees to engage with at Shorewood Feast including writing and coloring “Be Kind” postcards, commemorative 100th anniversary Polaroid photos to take home, and fun yard games like Giant Jenga and Connect 4!
