MKE Recess takes place tonight at NorthSouth Club in Milwaukee. Presented by North Shore Bank, this event is taking things back to the ’90s with live music, classic N64 Mario Kart, school-yard games, a photo booth, a complimentary cereal bar, and more! More info here.
Through June 17, we are raising funds to help Friends of the Parks of Pewaukee put on the village’s annual Fourth of July fireworks show. Members of the public can stop in at our Pewaukee branch and get their coins counted for free, and then donate some or all of that money to the fireworks. North Shore Bank is matching donations up to $500. More info here.
Milwaukee and the rest of the country will celebrate Juneteenth this Monday, June 19. The federal holiday commemorates the emancipation of Black slaves in the United States and is a time to reflect on the legacy of slavery, celebrate Black culture, and recognize the ongoing struggle for racial justice and equality. The Kenosha Kingfish will host Mascot Mania this Monday, June 19, when they play the Traverse City Pit Spitters at Simmons Field. This fun event will feature mascots from various area businesses and organizations, including North Shore Bank’s own Seymour Savings. More info here.
The 27th annual Pewaukee Kiwanis Beach Party and the Lake Country Clean Water Festival will take place Friday and Saturday, June 23 and 24, at Pewaukee Lakefront Park. North Shore Bank is once again a band sponsor. Saturday will include a pancake breakfast, activities for kids, and a performance by the Pewaukee Lake Water Ski Club at 5 p.m. More info here.
The 19th Annual Criterium Classic Tour of America’s Dairyland will once again pass through Shorewood on Friday, June 23. This is the largest cycling event in the country, featuring 11 days of competitive racing around Wisconsin and bringing in riders from amateurs to professionals. The local event will also include kids’ races and more fun at the block party in Kensington Square. More info here.
North Shore Bank presents a World Giraffe Weekend celebration at the Racine Zoo on Saturday and Sunday, June 24 and 25. The traditional World Giraffe Day fun is being extended through Sunday in honor of the bank’s and zoo’s centennials. Zoo staff will be on hand with activities, and there will be a focus on the beloved giraffes at the Racine Zoo. Look for the bank’s activity area, and stop by to say hello and enjoy the activities there too. More info here.
