The chalk art by Kelly Elliott was a huge hit with zoo visitors.

North Shore Bank helped the Racine Zoo celebrate World Giraffe Weekend, which took place last Saturday and Sunday, June 24 and 25. Northside employees were there Sunday handing out swag as well as free chances to feed the giraffes. We also offered a craft for kids — making fingerprint giraffe bookmarks.

“The weather was a little hit-or-miss, but it didn’t keep happy zoo-goers from enjoying their time with our favorite animals and taking time to chat with staff,” branch manager Lisa Brooks said. Along with Lisa, lead teller Kelly Elliott, teller Lexie Lawler, and Kelly’s child Lex helped out. North Shore Bank is the main sponsor of the zoo’s Giraffe Encounter.
