SOAR Together tributes: Annual award nominations now open

By Milene Below, Training and Development Manager

The nomination period is now open for our first round of annual SOAR Together awards! Take some time to nominate someone who demonstrates excellence in one of these three categories today:

  1. Customer Service
  2. Legacy Leader
  3. Community Involvement

Nominations should be submitted through the Seymour Salutes system and will be accepted through March 15, 2017. Need more info? Visit the SOAR Together page on the intranet.

Customer promise statements go live externally
The final phase of our Customer Promise Initiative began this week. Our marketing messages display our customer promises with branding elements for our external customers, website visitors, and ATM users, so they can see what our customer service culture and commitment are all about. This includes our internal customers, who can also see the branded messages displayed on their screen-savers. Have you noticed them?

SOAR Together quarterly activity
Recently, we rolled out our brand-new North Shore Bank video, allowing our customers and employees to see what our history, culture, and customer promises are all about. All departments across the company were asked to complete our newest SOAR Together quarterly activity, which focused on the takeaways from this video. Let’s check in with West Allis branch manager Shannon Weber, who provided some great feedback on this activity:

It created some great conversations…

• We look for ways to help our customers, employees, and community. These three things first.

• There was excitement over seeing some of the customers we know on this video, as well as seeing employees from all different lines.

• Not only are we versatile with technology and ways to help our customers, but we also show that we have a great atmosphere and will take care of our customers and employees.

• Our action plan was to continue looking for ways to show customers and employees how we are going to SOAR to help them. Next week, we are going to discuss what we learned from this video and our conversations with others, to see what we did over the last week to SOAR and make a difference in helping others.

The challenge is on!

Did you complete the SOAR activity? If so, we’d love to hear from you. Please submit any feedback to Milene Below at mbelow@northshorebank.com.
