MILESTONE ANNIVERSARIES

Celebrating 25 years, Hahm glad she joined NSB
Southridge teller Debra Hahm celebrates 25 years in banking this week. Debbie got her start at Layton State Bank in 1996, as a drive-thru teller. A little more than a year later, a promotion took her to Layton’s Greendale branch, where she worked as a senior teller and head teller. “I even filled in for the personal banker when needed,” she recalls.

In 2016, she came along when North Shore Bank acquired Layton. Read more about how Debbie’s customers even followed her to a new branch!

NORTH SHORE STARS

Wrap-Up Rally winners credit success to dedication

Maria, Stephanie, Dee, and Kerri — our managers of the year for fiscal year 2021.

The bank recognized our top performers for fiscal year 2021 at the annual Wrap-Up Rally on Wednesday, October 27. Top branch employees, the highest-performing branches, and the highest-performing district all won awards. And our investment, mortgage, and business banking partners also gave out awards to retail employees for referrals and outstanding production.

Maria Baumer and Brookfield Square, Stephanie Bluemel and Muskego, and Dee Patel and McHenry were named our three Managers and Branches of the Year. All three branches exceeded 150 percent of their annual goal in four out of five core production categories — lending, investments, partner referrals, and credit cards. District manager Kerri Collins and the North District came out on top on the regional level. Read more about how these winning managers and their teams made it happen.

BANK ON KINDNESS

Help send our veterans to D.C.!

Our latest Bank on Kindness initiative aims to help recognize American military veterans for their service, by supporting Stars and Stripes Honor Flight and Old Glory Honor Flight. These Wisconsin nonprofits fly veterans on free one-day trips to Washington, D.C., where they can visit the national memorials built in their honor.

Through Sunday, November 14, North Shore Bank is asking the public to donate to these organizations and will match donations up to $2,000 for each of them. Donating is easy — just text “Kindness” to 77948 or visit give.mastercard.com/p/northshorebank.

Please tell your customers, family, and friends! If you’re moved to donate as well, that’s wonderful. And watch for North Shore Bank social media posts you can share before November 14, to help give our vets the experience of a lifetime. •••

ONE MINUTE OF MINDFULNESS

You deserve to rest at the end of the day, so rest

Let yourself settle into that much-deserved rest at the end of your day. Really let yourself fade into the rhythms of the evening, whether that’s chopping veggies, folding laundry, or listening to good music. Release the tension that lives between your eyebrows and just merge with your surroundings.

Try this meditation for one minute every day, or longer if you want to:

EXHALE WORRY and tension. Inhale calm and relaxation. Let confusion dissolve, and bring your awareness to your center.

How did this meditation go for you? Share your experience at shorelines@northshorebank.com and you’ll be entered to win a copy of A Mindful Day: 365 Ways to Live Life With Peace, Clarity, and an Open Heart, by David Dillard-Wright.

If you’d like a daily email reminder to practice one minute of mindfulness, email us with the subject “Mindfulness reminder.” Pat Ingelse, AVP and PMP •••
